                                                                      Apostolic Theological Institute 

              The 8th Executive Committee of Mizoram UPC (26th of November - 5th of December 1996) had passed a resolution number 7 that Short Course Bible School should be started. The Committee finds that there is a need to study Theology by all the Ministers and named it as Short Course Bible School, 2 months training in each year. Short Course Bible School Committee was also formed:-

         On 2nd June, 1997, renting the house of the Durtlang Chief, Ch. Lalngura (L) house, the registration Day was for the first time observed.

        There were 31 students enrolled with 4 lecturers and after 2 months, on the 21th July, 1997, the first Graduation Day was observed with 3 students graduated.

        The Name : As the executive Commiittee had passed the first name of this Institution was Short Course Bible School, After that the 9th Executive Committee ( 8-10 March 1977, Resolution number 13) passed a resolution that the name should be Mizoram UPC Bible School (MUBS).

            And on the 9th- 12 of December 1999 The General Assembly changed the name again to Apostolic Theological Institute (Assembly Resolution no 5, no 10 (b)).

           Its Location : A plot of land (3.37 bighas) was purchased from Mr. Ramthanga of Chanmari, Aizawl. LSC No 1021/01/06/37 of 2021.

           Buildings Inside the Campus :

          Lecture Hall - It was built on 1999 at the expense of Rs. 2,24,231 ( Two Lakhs, twenty four thousand, two hundred and thirty one)

          Chapel : Chapel was built on May 2009 at the expense of Rs. 3,00,000 (Three Lakhs) (20X36 feet).

          New Ofiice Building: As on the ATI  Board resolution No -173 Agenda No 3 of 25/5/2018, a new Office building was constructed upon the Chowkider quarter.

          ALJC And Dean Quarters : ALJC sanction Rs 3,26,100 ( Three lakhs, twenty six thounsand and one hundred) for the AlJC quarters. Warden/ dean quarters was also built at the expense of Rs 8,00,000/- ( Eight Lakhs) (45X24 feet). On 7.2017 it was accommodated.

         Dinning Hall and  New Chowkider Quarters : Dinning Hall was built at the expense of Rs.3,00,000/- ( Three Lakhs) ( 45X24 feet) and it was ready to be used on 9.2.2007.

         Girls Hostel : Girls Hostel was finised building on 9.2.2008 at the expense of Rs. 1, 78,000/- (One Lakh seventy eight thousand) (24X12 feet).

        Boys Hostel : Boys Hostel was finished building on 8.3.2019 with the approximate expenditure of Rs. 8800,000/- ( Eighty eight Lakhs) ( With 3 stories, 15 rooms which can accomodated 60 students. (70X30 feet).

        Library : Inside the office building there is a library (15X12 feet) )with a total number of 1196 books.

        Water Reservour : There are 14 plastic water tank holding a total of 25000 litres of water along with 2 other water tank with a 20000 capacity of water is available. Due to scarcity of water, a RCC Water Tank  was constructed at the expense of Rs 1,44,260/- (One lakh forty four thousand two hundred sixty)

         Fencing: Fencing (Barbed Wire) was done on 2018 at the expense of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakhs).ATI Annual Magazine : ATI Annual Magazine was started to published from 2003 every year.
